Tania is a Senior Lecturer and the Associate Dean Student Affairs at The University of Otago, Christchurch. Tania is involved in a number of research projects with a focus on addressing Māori health inequities including Educating for Equity and Inequities in Chronic Kidney Disease. Tania recently completed her PhD investigating inequities in Chronic Kidney Disease. The findings of Tania’s thesis have led to the design and development of the CONSIDER statement “the Consolidated criteria for strengthening reporting of health research involving Indigenous Peoples”, and has identified significant differences in clinical practice patterns related to Māori experiences of dialysis and kidney transplantation.
